What is Mo-Sys VP Pro?
Mo-Sys VP Pro is a versatile virtual production solution that is utilised by a growing pool of filmmakers, high-end broadcasters, and live event media companies. Mo-Sys VP Pro is a real-time compositor, synchroniser, keyer, and recorder (for video and tracking data), that uses real-time camera and lens tracking data to create all types of virtual production content. Mo-Sys VP Pro captures live tracking data from all Mo-Sys robotic and tracking hardware such as StarTracker and RoboJib. VP Pro has a clever set of tools that simplify and enhance virtual production workflows, making it simpler to achieve the virtual production illusion you’re after.

High-quality Camera Tracking
The StarTracker optical tracking system looks at 'Stars' which are small retro-reflective stickers, randomly applied to the studio ceiling or onto the floor. The StarTracker's LED sensor, which is mounted on the studio camera, shines infrared light at the stars and the system then remembers the 'StarMap'. StarTracker reports the position and orientation of the studio camera in real time to the rendering engine.

Unrestricted Unreal Plugin
StarTracker comes with a plugin for Unreal and as such is not limiting you in your workflow. It allows you to tap into the raw power of Unreal, giving full flexibility and creative freedom. StarTracker was specifically tailored for virtual productions and VFX heavy filming – with many features that simplify VFX shots.

The Post-production Solution
Whilst allowing on-set visualization in real-time, as well as scene blocking in virtual worlds, StarTracker neatly provides timecode synchronization and an FBX export allowing you to efficiently drop the recorded data and footage into Maya and other post-production software.
